Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is made on behalf of Colours Management Ltd (trading as “Colours Agency”) in accordance with section 54 of Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) with respect to the financial year ending 31 December 2023.
At Colours Agency, we take our responsibilities to society as seriously as we take our responsibilities to our talent. The Act creates offences in respect of slavery and human trafficking in a range of forms and it is our commitment to do all that we can to combat all such practices in our organisation and the talent we represent, as well as clients we work with and suppliers we purchase services from, so as to ensure that our business operations are conducted with integrity and regard for human dignity.
About us
Colours Agency, established in 1998, is the most successful model and creative talent management agency in Scotland. As members of the BFMA, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our broad range of editorial and commercial clients.
Founded by Alison Bruce and Rosalynd Ramage, and with a strong desire to create a #ColoursFamily, the agency continues to scout the streets of Scotland to find homegrown talent and fully support, nurture and develop careers for international models.
Colours was the first in Scotland to commercially manage and represent the biggest names in make-up, styling and creative services. Our creative talent works across fashion, editorial, music, film, tv and commercial production.
Our policies and procedures
Our current policies and procedures that would assist us in mitigating the risk of such offences arising include the following:
- Recruitment – following government guidelines, we conduct checks on any new employees and talent joining our business to ensure they are eligible to work in the UK and mitigate the risk of human trafficking or of such individuals being forced to work against their will. We also only work with reputable international model agents when looking for overseas opportunities for our talent and those international models who wish to move to and gain representation in Scotland.
- Reporting procedures – we have clear avenues in place for all our employees to raise any concerns they might have concerning their employment without repercussions.
- Freelance appointments – our freelance appointment documentation follows government guidelines and complies with all applicable laws.
- Procurement of goods – where we engage with manufacturers or suppliers of goods for purchase for our projects, we ensure that we only engage with reputable suppliers.
